I am not at all intending to be cynical or to start any sort of argument, but I do wonder if these sorts of space-gazing stamps were printed with the intent of diverting attention away from earthbound political and economic travesties. Now that I’ve said it, however, it seems pretty stupid to think that anybody would actually believe that unrest amongst the populace could be assuaged with paintings on postage. I think I’ll go see whether today’s mail has been delivered!
