Yes, sadly, googie was knocked down and replaced with redneck anti-architecture. I shudder to think that one day in the far-flung future, students of the history of human structures might open their textbooks (or boot their learnscreens, or whatever) to a chapter entitled “The Founders of Redneck Anti-architecture in the Golden Age of NASCAR”.
