Maybe life wasn’t any easier going back then than it is today, and maybe long-distance highway travel wasn’t any jollier, but, by cracky, that neon googie sign makes it seem that way.

Yes! Glorious it is/was! This an example from my part of the country (though I never stayed there … and, sadly, it’s there no more).
